The Palestinian funeral which was targeted by the Israelis with sewage water, Amer Abdeen.
Al Khalil, Friday February 24, 2012
The Israeli occupation forces targeted a Palestinian funeral with sewage water today at noon during its way to cemetery.
I am wondering what is the reason for that? Even the dead can not survive the Israeli humilation.
I hope that the world community wake up to see what the Israelis are doing against the Palestinians and do something to stop it.
I call for all the media all over the world to look at that spot and reflect to the world what is going on there. I am asking all mass media which have reporters and correspondents in Palestine to prove their objectivity.
UN: some 660 demolished houses and more than 1100 Palestinian homeless in 2012
London, January, 2012
The Israeli demolition of the Palestinian houses and other buildings in 2011 has resulted in displacing more than 1100 citizens, UN report said Saturday morning.
UN demanded a direct halt of such activities of the Israeli occupation and asked it to bear the responsibility of protecting the Palestinian citizens.
“Israel as the Occupying Power has a fundamental responsibility to protect the Palestinian civilian population under its control and to ensure their dignity and well‐being,” Maxwell Gaylard, the UN humanitarian coordinator in the occupied Palestine, said.
“The current policy and practice of demolitions cause extensive human suffering and should end,” Mr Gaylard added.
He also criticised the policy of destroying the Palestinian homes and their livelihood and said that increases their misery. He confirmed that all those actions are not acceptable.
“The wholesale destruction of their homes and livelihoods is not consistent with that responsibility and humanitarian ideals. The current policy and practice of demolitions cause extensive human suffering and should end,” he said.
The report mentioned: “For the year 2011, some 622 homes and livelihood structures belonging to Palestinian families were similarly destroyed, forcibly displacing almost 1,100 people, over half of them children, and compromising the livelihoods of several thousand more.”
Mr Gaylard noted that these figures represent a dramatic increase compared with previous years, and that a much greater number, in the tens of thousands, remain under threat of dispossession, demolition and displacement.
